i had a local sheet metal fabrication shop bend some pieces of Stainless steel (brushed finish)like the originals. Originals were too short and easily scratched. Also, I had them bend some extra wide pieces that I then cut and welded to fit over the opening beside the foot box (where the door latch is located), This solves the problem of the side of my foot rubbing on the carpet and pulling it loose. Not as fancy as Dr. Ruth's, but look pretty good and functional. Just $35 from the metal shop = I was shocked, a real deal
