Ok. I am considering budgeting for a Aim dash. The Aim dash plugs into the obdII port with some adapter cables for the Subaru. I am not an electrical wiz but is there some easy way to use the aim dash and also the cobb ap that plugs into the odbII also. Any such thing as a Y cable available.

Yes, you can use a Y OBDII adapter. However, you will not be able to connect both to the ECU at the same time. I wired a toggle switch into my Y adapter to make it simple to go between the two.

Thanks for the quick reply. This is good to know except it kills using the ap to monitor some vitals but I imagine the aim will monitor the vitals I want.

Yeah, for the most part. I would highly recommend upgrading to the Pista... Gives you additional datalogging capabilities and an internal G sensor...

This. I ran into the same problem on one of our builds and the switch is a great idea. The AIM dash can be wired direct into the communication line so need for a Y adapter.

I run my AIM Pista and a Cobb AP together all the time, both datalogging. I don't do anything to switch between them, they are both on and running. The only switch I have is for the Cobb AP to run it in ECU flash mode or monitoring mode.
