Two More Races, Two More Wins

The Mendeola Transaxles FFR PDG GTM ran a double race weekend this last weekend at Laguna Seca Raceway and scored two more wins. Competition was tough but not a match for the GTM as the team scored fastest time of every session on the track for the A Group, and won both Saturday and Sunday races pulling away. In the USTCC rules when you win they add weight to you. At this point we have had 250 extra pounds added and are well over 3000 lbs total.

This weekend is a 6 hour endurance race in Utah at Miller Motorsports park where I will be teaming with a competitor from last weeked, Dave Brown, as we try and win our second longest race of the year. :)

Wow 250 lbs is a lot. So if you keep winning will we see a 3500lb GTM?

Their maximum for winning races is 300 lbs, but with all the other competitors crying I think we might see some sort of "special" weight penalty for us. As it is we have lead bolted all over the front end and are running the 44 gallon fuel tank pretty full to make weight. It will be interesting to see how we go about adding at least 50 lbs more. Maybe I'm gonna have to eat a lot more cheese burgers! :)
