just ordered a kit with upper and lower a arms, trying to figure out what spindles and brakes to use. Want to stick to parts I can purchase at local parts store. Can I use 2002 spindles and brakes or will this not work with 87-93 rack. Also will it set wheels out further than 87-93 spindles.

So I can use it, but it sets the wheels out further by how much? Also will the brakes fit inside 15 inch wheels?

If you are going to use stock spindles instead of the FFR spindles order an SAI kit from Whitby's. That way you will have all the latest front end geometry.

The brake kit that you order will determine the wheels you need. Tell the place you are buying the brakes from that you want to use 15" wheels and he should be able to sell you the correct brake package.

Or just stock Mustang front brakes and upgrade the rears. Search for many brake threads here ans the other forum to learn a ton.

The front wheels will be ~3/8" farther out per side than with Fox, 1994/1995 SN95 or FFR spindles. The FFR 15" wheels will clear the 2002 10.9" rotors and 2 piston PBR calipers.

Jeff,
Thanks, this was what I was trying to figure out. So I should use 94-95 spindles with 2002 rotors and calipers? All of this will work together? Also using manual rack, will there be any issues connecting it to the 94-95 spindles?

The '94/'95 spindles need some minor modifications to provide clearance for the 2 piston PBR calipers from 1999 and later.

The rack will work (but I'd rather see you use power steering ;)).

I have bolt in tried and true 4 piston kits front and rear that will clear 15" wheels.

Using a 427 fe so figured power steering would be complicated to use on that engine connecting to rack. Have had two cobras in past and neither had power steering. Just curious what your thought is on why it would be better?
