How Long?????

Was just thinking of how long after 1-June we will get some concrete information on things like a donor vehicle( I know they said 02-07 WRX ), and a donor parts list. I know that it could be till next year to get a kit, but atleast this winter we could get a donor and get the parts and drivetrain prep work done while waiting on the kit.??

If you find a totaled Impreza that was totaled out due to mainly body damage, you will likely have everything you need to finish the car assuming no mechanicals were damaged. Anything 02-07 will work as a single donor.

While the chassis may have a good start, the car is still in the design stage. Even if we get a contest winner in June, the body will still take quite a while to make an actual working copy. The body design will help determine some of the re-use components. But that's not counting the interior work that will may or may not reuse some parts. I would guess that the design of the car will be tweaked up until very close to the launch date. So FFR may be able to put out a preliminary donor list before production, but they probably won't release one until just before they start sales for this car. Long story short, I would guess we are still a long way aways from getting a donor parts list.

why not get yourself a 02-07 Impreza right now. FFR has already said that any mechanical part on the car is fair game, so get one with only body-damage. maybe just to be safe, get one with a good-condition windshield. my guess is that they will use the windshield too.

A 2002-2003 WRX can be found for under 7,000 in good driveable condition. If anything, it'd be a fun car to drive around while you wait.

Yes, I know they said it sould be a 02-07 WRX would just like the offical word becuase I have to get the donor first part it out then get rid of the rest so I have room for the 818 I only have a 2car garage and no place out side to park a Junker, I guess I will just what is going to happen on the !-June and see if I even like the design they pick if not may get a 65 coupe.
