weird rear axle question

Ok so not sure how to explain this but I have a rear axle issue, I got all my donor parts from a 2004 subaru WRX 5 speed, I dissasembled the axles and cleaned and re greased everything and installed the new axles. the joints slid in fine onto the spline with a small love tap and installed the axles. set up the aftermarket rear trailing arm the same length as the stock ones and I notice now I have very little play in and out on the LR axle and no in and out play on the RR axle (the shaft free play to alow movement during the up and down swing) the main issue is when I put the car in gear on the jack stands and let the clutch out it looks like and feels like the RR axle is binding and the transmission wiggles a bit back and forth (side to side) and the car shakes.

has anyone had or seen this issue?

I had a similar problem, but I discovered it earlier than you. One of my axles seemed too long for me to assemble the rear suspension. Turns out that I did not seat the retaining clip that holds the tri roller correctly. It slipped off and got caught in the joint. I took the joint apart, cleaned the grease, and put it back together. Problem solved.
