Doing a nut a bolt check on my car after driving my newly completed MKIV for a couple months. Well, 3 of the 4 spinners came right off (I even drilled and tapped set screws to keep the centers from spinning in the wheel). Well the 4th was frozen. Long story short (and many choice words), I wound up having to cut the spinnger off the threaded center. After exaimination it looks like I forgot the anti-seize on this one. The other 3 had it! Probably a late night screw up. Pieces of the pot metal spinner acutally broke off and jammed the threads. Arggg.

Anyone have a driver's side hub and spinner they want to sell for a FFR Halibrand wheel circa 2012? Drivers side is tighten clockwise and loosen counter-clockwise.

Enjoy your day - I'm not...

Ok, I officially started this car's wall of shame... The spinner is now in two pieces and the hub is pretty much destroyed.

Good news is that FFR is sending me a replacement. Gave me a pretty good discount too...

Better day so far today. The IRS nuts were still torqued to 250 ft lbs! No issue there after 1000 miles of not so friendly driving.
