I did do a search & didn't come up with anything. I'm looking at buying the 818 that Kalstar has for sale. Any PA guys that could chime in on any difficulties to expect with PA inspection? I'm pretty sure titling will be a straightforward transfer since it's already titled. The state inspection I'm not at all sure about, especially with no wipers. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Edit; just found the car has never been titled before, so I guess I would be starting from scratch like it was just built.

as far as I recall from my talks with my local enhanced inspection station wipers and seat belts are not required or emmisions equipment. mine will be titled as a 2015 hotrod is what I was told. they have titled and inspected t-buckets and they said it will work the same as those. I would love to come down to see the are when you get it. im located in the wilkes-barre area.

If we end up working out a deal with the car I will definitely let you know.

The orange was titled in Florida but not Mass. The orange one does not have an OBD port so will not pass emissions here in MA. so I did not bother putting it on the road. How does PA work with reading the codes? You said on the phone, as long as there are no codes you will be ok (the check engine light is not on). I was thinking...How do they satisfy the no codes present part of the inspection? Is it just visual or do they need to plug it in? The orange car is a beauty, you will turn heads everywhere you go. Come see it in person.

Hello Old Fart, (BTW That handle is wrong on so many levels :D)
I live in Bucks County and have done some research on registration in PA. Here goes
1. You need to go to a special inspection station for PA.
2. Heat Shields are required if you have side pipes.
3. Self cancelling turn signals are required
4. Defrosters are required
5. White Backup lights are required
6. Windshield Wiper are required

I will buy you the wiper kit and throw it in as part of the sale. You have to cut the hood and hook it up though. Not hard from what I understand. Defroster???

I'm 1 1/2 hours north of Phila., 1/2 hour north of Allentown.
That could be any of three different counties, each with their own unique inspection issues, emissions in two, not in the third.
The reason why I ask for a specific location is due to these issues and or bumps in your road to getting your car on the road.
If the car is already titled, and Harrisburg does not bounce it back due to any number of minor issues (non conforming VIN, or the word "replica" or "kit" on the title description), they will take it at face value.
There are some knowledgeable folks on the forum, some of us have years and years of experience in dealing in replicas of all shapes and sizes, but without knowing which area (Town and County), there is no way to assist you further.

I have set up tomorrow to talk to a local guy that runs an enhanced inspection station, I'm sure he will be a big help.

Sorry Bill, I'm in Northampton county. From my understanding, we do have the no CEL visible & OEM emission parts should be visible. No sniffer tests anymore. One of my cars has a hollow cat, that is legal as long as there is no CEL & it looks like it's still there. Same with the air injection pump, it's electrically disabled, but it still looks like it's there.

Forget the enhanced inspection station unless the car is not titled, the enhanced inspection station only gets involved when a car is initially titled in PA, and only for that initial safety inspection. All else can be handled at your friendly corner service station with an inspection license. If you can't find one, I've got a few connections in Easton and Pottstown that can get the job done for you without any issues.
