Installed a 347 into my MkIV
I have been enjoying driving the car and already have 3000 miles on engine/car - what bothers me is that the side pipes are hanging - slightly enlarged side pipe mount holes, but they still hang.
I see many builds with them slightly hanging and straight.
What to do:
Thinking of lifting tranny tail a bit (rather not) - how does this effect the driveshaft/performance since it is so short?
Or is there more compact engine mounts available versus those that came with the kit?
Or am I just crazy???
When under the car, I do notice the flat bottom of the oil pan indeed shows the engine is higher on the engine mount side (but this may be normal) - where even I can use the dip stick effectively to check the oil since it also seems to be on the high side of the oil pan and shows I always need another quart of oil even though I put in the correct amount.

Any suggestions?

Walter

Pictures of what you are looking at might help. There are several ways to get the side pipes aligned so it depends on which direction they need to move. Leveling the engine might cause a bigger problem but there is a lot of experience on the forum for helping get them right.
