Just curious what is the max front wheel and tire width without rubbing or running into problems. I would like to match up the fronts to the backs so I can rotate tires. I was thinking of 18X9.5 and a 295 or 305 tire all around.
Thanks,
Henry

Practical max for the front is 255, and those would look really skinny in the back. It's possible to go wider in the front, and some do, but you start running into things. The staggered tires are part of the "look" for these cars. Many performance tires are directional. If not, you could go side-to-side in the front and back. Otherwise, tire rotation isn't typically necessary or possible.
Welcome to the forum BTW.

As long as you are running SN95 or FFR spindles w/ FFR LCAs you can go real wide. The edge of the tire hits the flat "F" panel which causes no harm and can be avoided w/ rack travel stops if you feel the need. You need to keep this in mind when you mount your brake line. I am running 295s on 10.5 wheels for my autocross setup. Running 3 deg negative camber helps clear the fender but you could also just run an extra 1/2 inch ride height.

Agree on limiting it to 255 as a no hassle put them on & ride solution. Current 255X315 since I had never considered rotating the tires. These give the car a nice stance & fill the wheel wells. I don't know how many miles you are planning on per year but don't expect with one of these you will go through tires that fast unless you are tracking the car.
I have a street strip combo Nitto 555 in front & 555R in back & so far they far too new to say anything meaningful about wear. Traction is very good & right now am doing a rate of 3K miles a year taking it out almost every day. Still working it in so no long distance runs yet. A full replacement set from Amazon is about $700. Specials at Jegs or Summit might be cheaper.

The tiles are a foot wide.

I track my GT500 and I run 305's on all corners and rotate back to front which lengthens the tire life considerably. The GT500 came with staggered wheels but matching the front to backs didn't take away from the looks. If anything made it look a little better but I'm not debating the issue to each their own as it goes. Also, I'm going to build the Challenge car so i'm going for more restomod racer than replica.
Thanks Craig, that looks tight up front so I might go 285 on all 4 to start.
