I clocked another turbo yesterday and took step by step photos to create a DIY How To. For anyone wishing to clock their turbo this guide shows you exactly how to do it. When using a type 14 AWIC core, clocking the turbo lets you reduce the length of the hot side piping and reduce the number of bends.

Nice write up, when I switch to an AWIC setup I'll certainly be doing this.

That looks great. Much cleaner than my non-clocked set up. But how do you handle the BOV/BPV?

Cut off one mounting tab, drill three holes (two bolt through holes, one larger air passage), file/sand it flat. Easier with a mill, possible with a band saw/hack saw and hand tools.

I seem to recall reading about this in one of your other posts. I'm definitely going to do it sometime, but I can't find the clocking bracket on your website. How much is it?

It's not up there yet. I've only sold one. Think it was $40 or $45 including the hardware? Need to do the math and add it to the site. On the plus side, you save about double that in silicone couplers and BPV adapter pipes.

Tons of silicone and aluminum pipe savings with your 135 bracket using the AAIC as well Craig!

Best of all.
It's working great.
Thanks Craig.

Skip the TD04 and upgrade to an EFR turbo. You just loosen a single bolt to clock the compressor housing in any orientation. ;)

That's too easy!

For those of us without baller turbos, I added the clocking bracket to my webpage.

This may be a stupid question but what does "Clocking a turbo" do for you and why is it beneficial?

It allows you to reduce the length and number of bends in the piping between the turbo and a type 14 AWIC core.
