GREETINGS I am a volunteer and "vehicle wrangler" for the inaugural MIT Distinctive Car & Vehicle Show, which will be held on Sunday, October 11, from 10-2 in Cambridge, MA. Here's the description and a link http://mit.universitytickets.com/user_pages/event.aspx?id=428&cid=52&p=1:

"Start Your Engines! MITAC (MIT Activities Committee) hosts its first MIT Vehicle Show for the MIT Community (and the public)! As cars, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles are an evolution of art, technology, engineering, and design, the MIT Vehicle Show will showcase some of the powered and unpowered vehicular standouts, both at MIT (products/subjects of MIT research), as well as interesting collectors’ vehicles owned by members of the MIT community. If you have a unique, collectible, classic, or just plain interesting vehicle, we invite you to bring it. Participation includes the MIT Age Lab (Center for Transportation and Logistics), MIT AeroAstro, MIT Mechanical Engineering, MIT ROTC, MIT Facilities; with vehicles including an autonomous car, HMMWV Humvee, “Miss Daisy” (older driver and new in-vehicle technology), electric vehicles from MIT Facilities (including the Electric Transit, GEM, and Kubota), and other interesting, fun, vintage, unusual, or otherwise distinctive vehicles."

As you can glean from the description, MIT is putting together an eclectic mix of new and old, racing, road-going, and research vehicles.

We would love to give MIT affiliated Factory Five owners a chance to show off their pride and joy. If you would like to participate, please send me a private message or send a note to mitac-office@mit.edu .
