I puzzled over the install of the remote door entry solenoids. As I had already installed the door handle cables, I needed to remove and rethink its placement in order for the solenoids to work.
I ended up placing them in the pocket of the door where the claw is with the use of a small pulley.

Hooked it up and it works. On to the passenger side.

There is always more than one way to skin a cat. Here is how I did it. LOL.

So how do you feed it in to the door pocket? That was one of the puzzles I was trying to solve, because when I mounted it there it did not fit. Or did you put the frame in the door skin and then mount the solenoid?
Thanks,
John

I did the mounting before installing in the door. Then removed the 2 bolts to the solenoid till frame was inside door. Your way works good too. I have seen several solutions to this way of opening the door. That is what is so cool about the forum. Lots of different ideas to look at. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for documenting this guys. I have been wondering about this for a while. I was thinking of using Tesla door handles - the ones that retract and all, but there have been posts about them not un-retracting and not working . . . . keep posting what y'all are doing for the rest of us!!
