Since Karen gave me the title, "The Never Ending Builder" several years ago, I haven't been providing the appropriate entertainment
value that I should have for the forum. So I'm dedicating a new chapter in my build, What's the "Never Ending Builder" up to now?
I'm will post my newest ideas and projects for all to see. That way Don Vaught can't threaten to rat me out to Karen for not doing anything
on my Coupe. So here goes my newest creation, but you have to guess what it is!!

Thanks for the update...

That last picture looks like a cover at the gas stations they have for the underground tanks.

I'll have more on the air cleaner later this week, but I kind of got side tracked with other things..BIG SURPRISE, can you say Coupe ADHD! This is a on going project for the steering wheel and some special components. Having time in Huey's and other aircraft, I've gotten accustom to having everything at a central control position, as in a control joystick. You see the same thing in Indy cars and F1. Basically I've started to make the steering wheel the center of the most used controls. Flash to pass, High/Low beams, turn Signals, and of course the horn.
Since all of this is off the wall, you need custom parts, so I had to make my own Hub to mount the three pieces to make this happen. I tend to like to have spares, LOL.
This part combines a 6 on 70mm pattern for the steering wheel, and a 3 on 1.75 in. pattern for the quick disconnect hub.

Here's the plate that will hold all of the buttons for the different functions. This is not complete yet, as I still need to weld skirts to the curved portions,
and a bottom cover for the curved portions, so fingers will not be able to go below the sides.

Back to the Air Cleaner,
Here's the concept I've been working off of, mocked up in foam and spare tubing.

Set the Rivnuts for the 10-32 screws on the bottom plate.

Started to play around with polishing the entire assembly, there had been a question about paint or polish,
but now I like the polish, even if its a bit more work.

Need to work on the outer ring next.

I support the polish idea. I can make out the bar code in the 3rd pic already.
