Woohoo!

After nearly a year of tweaking and fiddling, I finally cleared the hurdle of road registration in Western Australia yesterday, with the Green Machine now adorned with some cool number plates:

43258

43259
(Excuse the cable ties!!)

As expected, I faced a few issues requiring attention in order to satisfy local regulations including:

High level brake light,
Side turn signals,
Functioning windscreen wiper and washer,
Under dashboard cover,
Cover over shiny new FFR (K-tuned) shifter (too many sharp edges posing an injury risk...)
100mm ground clearance (challenging!!)
Self centering steering, to name a few.

A few little challenges, but no show stoppers, so happy, no make that VERY, happy days!

So, whilst she may be the 1st 818 to be registered Down Under, the 1st registered RHD 818 award went to Junty a few weeks ago, which is a testament to his efforts, given I had 'quite' a head start!!

Thanks to all for their tips and advice along the way!

Wayne

Excellent work, well done! I also will soon have to tackle the WA authorities. Looks great by the way, would love to see it.

Congratulations Wayne. Nice to see another RHD complied and registered. I may have completed the registration a mere 15 days before you - but damn yours looks pretty :-)

Hahaha!

Yes, the screws holding the number plates on were somehow connected to the shifter cover, cause as I attached the plates, the cover just 'fell off' in my hands!!!!

Who would've guessed that hey???!!
