Hood lath U-bolts

My hood latches were off set form the actual u-bolt, so it was catching it on the corner each time. It was really hard to open and close this way, so I cut the U-bolt legs off 1/2" from the inside.

Then welded the three pieces to opposite sides of a piece of angle.

This keeps the factory adjustability and works great.
A little bit of paint and they will be ready for use.
