I am planning to use the Subaru center console as some others have done and am planning to squeeze the radio in about where the HVAC controls would have previously been. However, I also want to add a Boost, Oil Pressure, and Voltmeter Gauges. Crazy idea came to mind - has anybody attempted to modify one of those A-pillar gauge pods to work?

Something like this? http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Triple-Gauge-Pillar-Pod/dp/B0018AO48A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1435353257&sr=8-1&keywords=a+pillar+gauge+pod
I think this would take some heavy modification/trimming to work, but it seems reasonably achievable and keeps the gauges in easy view.

I'd like to keep my dash as clean as possible, so didn't want to fill it up with gauges. Any other outside the box ideas?

Thanks!

Would be a good little project to do some fiberglass plug/mold learning.

This is a picture of my A pillar cover for my coupe.
