Has anyone (FFR included) thought of doing models of the kits? I know there are issues with the shape of a couple cars (roadster and coupe), but how awesome would it be if you could print out a 1/8 or 1/18th or whatever size model of your car, paint it to match, and put it on your desk?

For me I'm most interested in the HotRod, and all the options available: fenders or no, hardtop, roadster, hood sides or no, different hoods or none

If nothing else just the ability to print out the body a couple times, paint it a couple different ways, and take it out into the sunlight, night time, etc. to see how the paint will look. I know there's a 3D software application that offers the ability to reconfigure and paint, change lighting, etc. but I want to put it on my desk or a shelf when I'm done, and pick it up once in a while.

I don't have a 3D printer, but a quick search has shown me that there are places all over that will print out something for you if you have the files.

Any one with skills willing to give it a shot?

There was somebody on here that 3D printed the "818" logo for the back of their car, so I know at least somebody has a 3D printer. I thought there was another individual that 3D printed a GTM, but I could be wrong on that one.
