Is ceramic coating side pipes worth it?

Is it worth the cost to ceramic coat my FFR sidepipes? Will it cool them down enough not to cause burns? Or are shields the only answer?

Oh they will still burn ya'! Ceramic greatly reduces the need to refinish the pipes on an ongoing basis.

I ceramic coated both the pipe and shield at the same time to assure color. Not the only answer, but it worked for me.

I can attest to that. This time around I went with the polished stainless pipes and PTP Turbo blankets (Mini-Sleeve), which can be easily removed if you go to a car show; they barely get warm: http://ptpturboblankets.com/Cobra-Exhaust-Sleeves/
