I'm using 4 link donor suspension. What keeps the rear coils from working their way back up the spring perches (supplied by FFR) that I threaded them on to? They don't seem tight enough to stay in place once the car is on the road hitting bumps. This set up kind of confused me because nothing compresses the spring. There's probably only 100lbs of chassis pushing down on the suspension right now. Anyone have some insight on this?

Some have set screws to hold them in place. Its not recommended you use them because it messes the threads. The fine threads and the tension will hold the collars in place.
If youre really concerned about movement , mark the collars and check them. I marked mine just to keep track of how many turns of adlustment I was applying.

Mine were turning and lowering the rear of the car to where the rear tires hit the body on bad bumps , I welded stops on to the round tube at the end of the spring, just know if you decide to lower the rear you have to cut the spring off.

On my MkI they were a pretty tight fit. Under compression even w/ the axle at full droop. I don't know if they would move or not. I would think about something like a bolt in a hole drilled in the spiral to be sure. But I would wait for a while until you are sure you have them where you want them. Put a paint mark as a reference check in the mean time. BTW, don't cut off any more than the absolute minimum or you will run out of spring if you try to raise the car a little.
