Getting ready for my build of a 20th Anniversary Roadster. Need help sourcing paint for the car. Anyone know what the source is for Guardsman Blue and Wimbleton White? If so, what are the manufacturers paint codes for each.
Thanks

Thank you for the codes Jeff. I have changed my color pick from Mc Laren Crystal Laurit Silver to the traditional Guardsman and Wimbleton. Look forward to seeing your pictures when you roll it out of your shop.

OK, you are officially my hero. You just ordered your car and completion in the factory isn't until August. (I just happen to know because I also ordered one of the 20th anniversary editions.) So you have the delivery and build in front of you, and you're already positive about colors and getting codes? That's a first. Most of us change our minds repeatedly, right up to the last minute. :D

Congrats on your 20th anniversary build BTW. Should be a blast.

Edwardb,
Ha! Well, long story... I have been considering a build since-are you ready for this-1990. Why haven't I pulled the trigger sooner? Well, job, kids, money and most of all TIME. Suffice to say I have done a lot of research and dreaming. Looked at a lot of Kit-Car manufacturers who have come and gone. Many names are not even recognized by todays component build owners. Now to my color choice... I was always drawn to the classic Guardsman Blue and Wimbleton white. Just looks sharp to me. Dont get me wrong there have been MANY times i have changed my mind but its time to get on with building my dream car and since my first car was a blue 1963 Impala with a white convertable top i have to go with what works for me.
August build? Im hoping for July! Can not wait any longer. Factory Five, Dave and crew impressed me at the open house so much i changed my order (in the Atlanta airport) from the complete kit to the 20 Anniv. Wish me luck!

OK, so you changed an existing order to an anniversary edition. That would explain the earlier date. When I called and placed my order on June 12, it was a new order so the first available production and delivery date was in early August. I was at the open house as well with my current Mk4. I'm not new to Factory Five. This will be my third build, but that was my first visit to the factory. I too was impressed. I too had to wait a long time to pull the trigger on one of these for the first time in 2009. Welcome!

I sprayed the previously mentioned Guardsman and Wimbledon yesterday. To whet your appetite for the classic combination here ya' go, straight from the gun!
