Hey guys,

Received my complete kit from Stewart Transport last week and have a quick question.....

I ordered the pin drive setup, but once the spindles are mounted I don't see much for camber adjusting. Included in my boxes were pin drive spindle adapters, but the don't mount to this type of spindle.

Am I "smokin", or did the send a spindle setup for a standard width?

You have the wrong spindles. FFR will swap them. Just call and speak to Tony.

What Joe said. Pin drive has to use '94/'95 Mustang spindles and you have the FFR ones mounted up.

Factory Five has confirmed the issue as well and will send the correct parts, and hope they also include the hardware to attach the pin drive spindle adapters to the 94/95 spindles. Funny though, I don't seem to see in the manual, or any supplement that was sent in the packets regarding pin drive installation.

Good thing the forum members post pics!

Now that I have the correct spindles I've tried to fit the hubs.....no go. So now I have a couple questions-

1) Are the spindle specs different and require a different hub as well?
2) Do the included brakes fit both spindles?

They will fit but you will need to heat them up a little... Throw them in the oven on 150 for 15 minutes and run them out and put them on...Do this when you wife is not around ☺

The SN95 hubs that FFR supplies have an almost imperceptible burr on the outer edge of the shaft. I've installed three sets and all of them responded to a little judicious filing around the ends. Once that little burr is gone, they slide on easily.

I lightly de-burred one spindle for fear of not mucking it up too much ....still tight. Perhaps I need to be a bit more aggressive.

Also, wouldn't baking the hubs even for a short time effect the lubrication? They're sealed right?

Update: I used the light filing and emery cloth method until they fit properly. All good!

Yup, I have two sets of spindles and three sets of knuckle adjusters for my one 289 car. Nuts. they must waist a ton on shipping every month.

Don't ever do it this way, you will have more trouble if you ever need to remove them. As others have suggested , use some emery cloth on the spindle to fit the hub.

This has been debated many times over in other threads and don't plan to start a new one but it works... It does seem that the MOOG hubs have tighter tolerances than other hubs but after light heating, they slip on like butter with no force at all... Getting off not a problem either as I have just used a regular heat gun for easy removal...
