I am very interested on the 818 since it designs but I am 6'3" and last I heard I won't fit inside comfortably even less with a helmet. Now that the 818C has being announced I'm again wanting that car. So I think I am not alone and we should have a post where other tall drivers can share their proven ideas about how we can make room and fit.

Someone already mentioned something about the gas tank, perhaps it could be explained in detail and can give us (Tall guys) the opportunity to have our own 818C.

Thanks,,

Please feel free to share your doubts, ideas and/or experiences.

I'm 6'2" and had to do a couple mods to fit comfortably in my 818S and regain leg room:

1. Boyd tank

2. Smaller MOMO steering wheel (330mm).

3. Thin aftermarket MOMO fiberglass seats.

I've heard the 818C actually has lots of head room but haven't sat in it myself.

FFR revised the fuel tank a few months back. It added like 5-6" (at least) of leg room. It is similar to the Boyd tank in that regard.

I think the main issue is roll bar height. How tall you are is only half the story..... the other half is how long your torso is vs your legs. The roll bar is rather low on the S but this can be fixed by welding a new taller one on. If you can't weld, there are plenty of places in every major city that would do this for you at a reasonable cost.

Stock WRX seats will be high. Racing seats will get you as low as possible. Avoid sliders as they add height.
