Went out and had a blast Saturday, ran out 60 miles and caught these.

I know absolutely nothing about ocean fishing, so tell me; what are those big 'ol guys and what is on the table?

The big ones are Amber Jacks, also called reef donkeys because when you hook them they shake their head and fight you the whole way to the boat. The red ones are beeliners, big ones at that, and they their meat is like red snapper only slightly sweeter. The brown one on the front left is a scamp and one of the best eating fish in the gulf.

I'll see if I can dig up some old video of my buddy shooting an amberjack while spearfishing. It's on a VHS so I'll have to do some conversion and editing before I can post. First I have to find it.

OMG the scamp was incredible, I broiled it with a little cajun spices. The meat was so delicate and melted in my mouth. Beeliners and AJ's were really good too.
