What a great turnout for 818s at the open house. I counted 9 818s. Not bad. Every one of them was different. Saw some good ideas on others cars that I want to add to mine.

While my main focus was the Cobra, I was sure impressed with the 818. My first open house. Pictures cannot fully capture the WOW factor for any of these FFR cars. Dave and his staff put on an unbelievable open house, where everything is open for a great touchy/feely experience. Their feeling of pride in the product, coupled with enjoying what they do, shinned throughout the day. Great job guys and gals. My order is filled out and I am just hanging by a thread to hit the send button.

I had a great time helping others with there questions and seeing what others have come up with for the 818. The 818c has got my attention, way to go FFR, and I may pull trigger as many have, but I still like an open car.... Torn. Love the new front end and think that's more in the cards.

Our first open house and first time to see the 818's in person. Very cool and very impressive. Was fun to see the new 818 Coupe unveiled. It is a sharp looking ride. Took the chance to climb in and out of it. Not too bad. I won't be leaving the Roadster ranks any time soon, but great job Factory Five and all you 818 builders.

I took pictures. I'll put them up later, although I didn't take pictures of complete 818s. There were some interesting builds. There was a wrapped 818r and another one with a matte metalized rubberized paint. There also was a really cool metallized orange R that posted pics somewhere on this forum. What surprised me the most was the small size of the '33s, and that I still don't like the GTMs in person. I much prefer the 818 in terms of looks. Also, luckily I bumped into Mike Everson so I was able to get my engine compartment hinges, NICE!

Here's some pics I thought were interesting:
The paint on this one is metalized blue matte, with rubberized paint. It looked awesome

I'll be using pins like these, with a key. Mine won't have the carbon fibre circle though. The guy told me he got them at autozone.
