I am supposed to fix my paint body on the gokart this week and I would appreciate suggestions or tricks. I know that mistakes at this step cost many $$$ ... Thanks !

Bonjour neilmathieu
I've just done this in the last couple of weeks. No great difficulty on my MK3 but I did the main re-assembly at the body shop right after painting so as to have some expert help with lifting the body, fitting the hood, trunk and doors. I was surprised at how easily the bolts went in and how well the fits were maintained from before paint. (the driver's door was a little off and had to pretty much completely set up again but the other door, trunk and hood didn't take much adjustment). Windshield went right in no sweat.
After main tasks done I trailed the car home and have just finished all the detailed final assembly.
Don't think this helps much but if you have specific questions email or call (450-539-3336)

Neil, I may be a little late, but one trick is to put some wax paper over all of the bulb seal when you put the body on. It will give the body something to slide against and help prevent tearing it. Once the body is on, you can easily slip the wax paper out.

Thats a great idea I guess you use masking tape to hold the wax paper in place, correct ?

Kenny, yep masking tape will work just fine to hold the wax paper in place. And not my tip, I borrowed it from build school ;-)
