Hello Roadsters, I am in the process of planning a carpet upgrade for my MK IV. I do not like the factory supplied carpet and I want to remove it and install a nice upgraded quality carpet. Can you all post pictures of your carpet installs/modifications?'

Thank you, yes I have a couple of shops that I have researched. Just want to know what some of the drivers have used.

Over on the other forum many recommend Bentley automotive carpet. Most comment source is this one: http://www.miamicorp.com/products/CARPET%20@@2f%20FLOORING/AUTOMOTIVE%20CARPET/BENTLEY.aspx I got a sample and ended up using it in the trunk of my Mk4 build. It's nice, but quite different than the FFR carpet. It's a lot more plush, which is nice. The backing is thinner and much more flexible. Makes it easier to install, but underlying unevenness does show a little more. I was thinking about using it in the cockpit as well. But it was near the end of the build and I just went with the FFR supplied carpet. I might be wrong, but seems to me the carpet they're supplying now is somewhat higher quality than what I had in my Mk3. But you might want to get a sample of the Bentley and see if that's what you're looking for. Many have used it.
