Subaru engine VIN??

Can anyone tell me for certain if the vehicles VIN is stamped anywhere on the engine? This may come up at todays inspection.

I don't believe so. Just the VIN plate and stamped into the firewall.

Don't believe so. Just a serial number on the top driver side of the flange where it bolts up to the transmission (near the starter).

The inspector looked for one on the engine when my inspection was performed as well. Couldnt locate one. I have never seen one in the past.

I confirmed with Subaru that there is no VIN stamp, just the serial number.
