Factory Five customer Bob McKee is organizing a 5-day build to be held at the 2015 FedEx St. Jude Classic PGA Golf tournament. Bob has recruited a group of FedEx pilots will build the Mk4 Roadster throughout this week at the golf tournament. The build will televised along with coverage of the PGA event. Bob’s printed goal is to raise $100,000 for the families of children at the world famous St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Click here (http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR?fr_id=40250&pg=entry) to donate or to see the running total. Read the letter below from FedEx Vice Chairman John Cardaci.

I want to bring your attention to Memphis-based 767 Captain Robert McKee, and his selfless act of kindness for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Captain McKee has taken it upon himself to try and raise $500,000.00 during the St. Jude Golf Classic that will take place next week. He came up with the idea to build a replica Shelby Cobra in 5 days at the golf tournament as a charity build for St. Jude. 100% of the donations and the proceeds from the sale of the car will go directly to St. Jude.

I cannot think of a better charity to donate to than St. Jude. Imagine the nightmare these families face when they learn that their child has cancer. What St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital does for these families, free of charge, is eye watering. If each FedEx pilot would donate $100.00 to the car build donation link, we can raise over $400,000.00. What an amazing gift that will be from the FedEx pilots. I know $100.00 is a lot of money, but I also know how much good that money will do. Please take a few minutes to read the letter below. Let’s support Bob and make this charity build a huge success.

Fly safe,
John

Pretty awesome build for a great cause. Looks like some great progress, and I look forward to seeing the final result.

I hope the build gets some air time during the event. It would be some nice exposure!

Regards,

Steve

this is outstanding work!! Considering I am "rushing" FedEx, it makes it that much sweeter to know that they are "car guys" too!
