I just signed up for the MK4 build course on 8/21. Super excited. Hopefully I'll get some insight about which options I should get on the kit etc. Now I just have to hurry up and wait 2 months.

I'd have loved to have attended the course. I have heard that it is worth every penny. Good luck!

My son and I attended this May you'll love it. I forgot to bring my mechanics gloves which was my biggest mistake its definitely a hands on experience. The instructors have a great depth of knowledge regarding the kits and can answer many of your questions. Only reason I'm not already building at home is I don't have the workshop space for a project right now. The hotels are very close to the facility and were quite nice, you should have a great time.

I went last summer and thoroughly enjoyed the course and the town. Spend some time in Howell. Went down on Friday night while they were having an old fashioned town concert. Great town. Instructors were spot on. Car was finished in three days with tons of time to spare. When I got home I said I would work slower and take six. Not exactly. There is one lesson that sticks and that is if you build what FFR sends you it will cut the build time by half at least. Unfortunately no one does. Have a good time. Stay at the Hampton Inn right off the Interstate. Two minutes to the school. BTW the food is good. Henry

I'm signed up for the August class, too. Looking forward to meeting you and the rest of our classmates!

Take a lot of pics and notes. Also just a short ways away is Roush Racing . The museum is great.

I'm gonna see if I can make a visit but I don't have extra days beyond the course to spend in Hamond. I got an email today saying the Roush Racing gentleman would be in attendance. I've given some serious thought to a Roush Racing 427 and a more or less stock build. The only thing I might add would be power steering. I am considering the independent suspension recently offered. I have started a YouTube channel and I'm halfway thinking of having an actual blog of the build process which would include photos/video for the entire process starting at build school and going forwards. The only reason I would do any of this is I would love to see what my grandpa was thinking about the things he did when he was my age. Also, whoever gets the car after I'm gone should have a record of what was done and why (in my opinion only.)
