In addition to his evident skills in engine building (he did the connecting rods, floating pins, pistons, and most of the rings on the Roadster build, plus some other stuff like torquing the smaller bolts) and it pulls like a freight train. I took my son trap shooting with me last night.
Damon is 11. I gave him a Mossberg 500 youth model 20 gauge pump action for his birthday less than a month ago and it was only his second time out. He is the youngest guy on the line by over five years at a very active club (Shongum in Oxford, NJ).
He shot a 14!! (A round of trap is 25 shots, 5 from each of 5 stations.) It took me a long time to get to 14 when I started, and he out-gunned some of the experienced folks there.
During the round of 14 , some of the other guys on the line with us were looking at me in disbelief as he shattered one bird after another.
Cool stuff, had to share.
