Greetings,

I am doing a modification on my FFR Mk4 emergency brake by installing a different setup. I am having trouble with the length of the actual cable on the brake itself and have decided it need to be shorten to fit my setup.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what to do to cut and reattach the mounting hardware? Below are some photos of my brake.

Where can I find a new bracket that will be easy to install and be strong?

Many thanks for assistance
Kevin

I had to shorten my cables and I found some crimp on swages that I put over the cut cable ends and then I gas welded a ball on the end of the cable then slid the swage down to it and crimped the swage on the anvil worked great

Be careful about shortening that cable. Especially if you leave the 1 into 2 adapter on there. If you pull the handle to it's full travel that adapter gets right up onto the piece the cable wraps around. Also it can interfere w/ the floor/tunnel aluminum so that you may not be able to pull the handle up fully.
