Red cobras with black stripes

I'm considering a red (maybe Ford's Ruby Red, Race Red, or Redfire Pearl) base with black stripes for my build along with stainless bumpers and exhaust and chrome roll bars. The problem is I haven't been able to dig up many pictures of red cars with black stripes. Lots of cars in black with red stripes or red cars with white stripes.... I'm still in the planning stages, but I like to have all my ducks in a row before I begin so I can coordinate paint and powder coat on various parts.

Has anyone seen this color combination or have pictures of it? And if you've seen it in person, what did you think? Should I go with the brighter race red or the deeper ruby? Thanks for your thoughts!

I have seen red / black and it looks good, but it was a blacked out car. I mean no chrome, but black roll bar, side pipes, wheels, etc.
My car is 2005 Mustang red,(I don't know the name) but has numerous coats until the car looks darker and deeper than a regular paint job on a stock car. I named her Scarlet and she gets a lot of compliments on the paint.
I also had a red/ black Mustang GT once and it looked good, but the scarlet just looks richer.
I would have to say the deeper ruby is a winner, but the lines on these cars look so great any color looks good.

JL1958, I like the blacked out look as well, but the wife's not so much of a fan. And that matters when it comes to budget ;) :D.

I've looked through some Mustang pictures, and I'm starting to get an affinity for Ruby Red with black stripes. I think the deeper red may look better with the chrome/stainless as well. What do you think?

Interesting you posted this. This is the exact combo I am looking at for my MK4. Ford Ruby red with black racing stripes. I think it will be hot with a chrome roll bar and S/S side pipes. If you really want to see the most beautiful hue of red though, check out Stryker red on the new viper. If I can afford it, this is what my MK4 will be covered in.

Hmmm, I think I may have found my colors thanks to another member. Ford Red Candy with the black stripes. Here's a quick and really basic and dirty edit of his car with the white stripes turned black. I like it with the black pinstripes like on the left. And it's a two stage color vs tricoat.
