Hello Factory five forum,
I just wanted to say hello and announce that I finally ordered my MKIV on April 27th 2014. I have been wanting to do this since I was fresh out of high school(20 yrs ago). Date of completion is June 13th. I am guessing I should have it around the first of July.
I have been watching builds on here for a little while. You guys are kind and have great talents. Glad I can be a part of this. I am sure I will get to know many of you over the next few years. I am looking forward to all of this.
Also, My date of completion happens to be the same day as the open house. If any of you happen to be there with a camera and see my car(my name will be on the paper on front I presume). I would love a pic. Haha.
Glad to be aboard, Joe

Congratulations Joe. Hopefully this is a dream come true for you like it was for me.
I was 23 years old and in the military, when I walked into the showroom of a Ford dealership in Wichita Kansas and saw my first Cobra (1966). My dream started on that day and stayed with me through raising a family, buying a home, and paying for my children's college. In February of 2012, I walked into the showroom at FFR to pick up my kit and start the process of making that dream a reality. My car has been on the road now for two years and not a morning goes by that I don't walk into that garage and get that same old feeling that I had so many years ago.
I have to say that my dream faded at one time due to the cost of those original Cobras, but when Dave Smith started FFR, it came back with a vengeance. Other then to say "thanks", there is no way that I can adequately express my gratitude to Dave Smith for making my lifelong dream a reality.
Congratulations, Joe, and welcome to the madness! How about some specifics? Engine? Options? Color? Being in the same boat - my production completion date is 6/27 - I know how you feel!

Wow, Thanks for the warm welcome guys. This has been a dream for me as well. Mine, started when I first seen the FFR ads in 96. Always wanted a cobra since I was a boy, Dave made it possible. Just made final payment on the kit today. I do have plenty to keep me busy in the meantime though. Just finishing the garage now and starting on the rear this weekend(hopefully). Ford 8.8 solid, 3:27s new moser axle shafts, carbon clutch pack, bearings seals and alum diff cover.
I have the block and heads already. Need to have some machine work done on the heads next week. Going to do a 351C, stroked to 408. 4V heads, TKO600.
I ordered The base kit, but took advantage of the 50/50. All the complete kit add ons became options so they were 50% off. Saved a bundle.
Base kit
powdercoated chassis
body cut outs
front lower control arm kit
3 link sus
Stainless side pipes
manual steering rack
ultralite gauges
17" hailbrand replicas W/10.5" rear
wind wings
Chrome roll bar
sunvisors
12.88 wilwood front brake package
12.19 rear wilwood brake package
wilwood pedal box
rollbar grommet set
hood hinge
Wiring package
FFR spindles
driveshaft
I am going to do this in the classic Blue and white.
Dave thanks for the account upgrade, I'll post some of the garage pics and rear end pics. I really think I am gonna love it here!!!
