One of our traditions over 20 years has been to invest in and continually improve upon our products and here is one now. The Factory Five Roadster comes with a standard aluminum dash and padded cover that can be upgraded with this new high-end padded dash with integral glovebox.

It requires very little assembly as the holes are pre-cut, and the padding material is already bonded to a composite backing. The new dash and glovebox combos cost $299, are in stock, and available for immediate delivery. Check out our parts catalog (http://www.factoryfiveparts.com/roadster-vinyl-dash-with-glovebox/) for more details.

What a great product. I wish this had been available back in 2002!

I'll second that (but will substitute "2007"). Great addition to the options list. Very nice.

The question has to be asked: Will it work with the heater?

What a wicked cool part - it will certainly save lots of hours that many of us spent just to end up with the same great looks! Nice going FFR on another great add-on to an already great car.

Sorry, but the new dash and glovebox does not fit with the heater/defroster unit.

Can you add holes after purchase pretty easily?

Just a note...
But if you place the vintage air Gen-II heater (used to be called the compac heater) behind the dash you then have room for a glove box! That's what I did with my Mark I. I am using the defrost output from the heater to supply heat and defrost. Love having a glove box!

CAVEAT: I do not know how well it will fit behind the newer Mark IV dash.

I did a heater in the center behind my MKIV dash. That allowed me to also have a glove box. It took a lot of modification on the heater. But, you can have it all!

That new dash looks nice. I like the pre-curved ends.

I love this! I would have loved it more last year! I'm still thinking about it as my car is done but not going for paint until the fall...maybe...

I do want to hear about adding holes easily as I need a few more switch holes and the lights.

That's cool - always some new possibilities to spend more money! It's on my list - Thanks FFR
