OK, after 4 years my 5.0 donor build is nearly ready for paint. I was thinking to go ahead and get it registered and licensed this spring so I can take it out on the road.

For those of you from Oregon who have gone through this process, would you mind giving me a few pointers?

1) What is the process for getting an FFR roadster registered in Oregon?
2) Did you do any kind of mechanical inspection : if so are there any areas I should prepare for? I mean the car stops, goes, lights work, has seatbelts. What else?
3) Does it matter that it is not painted?
4) Did you register as a 1965 or a donor year (1993 in my case) or the year of purchase (2011) or this year 2015?

I'd appreciate any tips.

Thank you John Robinson

A search for registration Oregon kit car points to the states official entry along with several others. The requirements vary wildly from state to state so I would think the 'official' site is the best starting point.
