License Plate Light

I haven't seen any pictures of the license plate lights installed. Is anyone using them? I assume the lights are required to register in most states.

License plate light and third brake light in one, built into the license plate frame. Just passed inspection in Illinois (Illinois requires only the license plate light, not the third brake light)

I did use the FFR supplied LED plate lights, I will also be removing them. They don't stick out far enough to light up the plate. In Massachusetts they require 2 plates, I'm still not sure how I will mount a front plate.
