I've got a fuel leak at the gas tank where the filler neck enters.

I purchased the Breeze filler neck (to replace the Mustang OEM one) coupled with an original 93 Mustang fuel tank. Seems clear to me that this is where the leak is coming from. Ideas?

Rubber gasket?

Anytime you pull the filler neck from the tank you should install a new seal. They take a "set" and don't always seal to the new tank/filler neck. They also crack from age and will leak. Over the course of 25 years driving my '90 Fox body I've installed three of them. Get the car below half a tank and pull the filler neck to replace the gasket. A little silicone or WD-40 on the filler pipe will help push it into the new seal. They are TIGHT!

HTH...

Problem solved. I had to go to 10 different parts stores to find the Dorman 577-502 in stock, but finally got it. Replaced it and wd-40 to insert the neck. Drove her around the block - no leaks! Relief.

Might as well by a second one to have on the shelf for when it goes bad again in seven to eight years! LOL

Glad you got it fixed...
