I'm new to this forum, so I hope I'm posting in the right place. I want to purchase a 33 kit. I spoke with Factory Five and asked about the leg room and size of the interior because I'm 6' 5" . I would like see If I can set comfortably in the car before laying out the money to build something that I don't fit into. They suggested that I post on this site to see if someone in my area has a completed car that I could set in. I live in the Baton Rouge area and will meet with you in public or at a car show.
If you could help with this decision I'd be very grateful, other wise I think I'll have to build another Mustang. I know what models of those I can fit into.

Welcome Chuck,

You definitely need try have a seat in one! I am within weeks of ordering my kit and I attended the build school back in March. I had a chance to sit in the car and try the different seats offered by FFR. I'm 6'3" and 200 pounds and the legroom was very tight! The tilt steering column is a must for ease of entry and if this was going to be a daily driver, no way! But i'm building for the experience and to have a car I can work on and modify with the little experience I have. So basically I fit in the car but I would not want to do long, daily drives in it. As you will find in some of the build threads, there are some modifications that can be made and seat choices to free up a little more room but the pedal area will always be very tight also. Good luck!

There is a google map of owners and cars that is not complete, but shows quite a few of the cars.
33 Owners google map (https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?ll=42.617791,-90.439453&source=embed&ie=UTF8&msa=0&spn=38.827446,78.75&z=4&hl=en&mid=zPnRi6XvsuVY.kCyH3TDFhfkU)

According to the map there is a 33 in Lafayette. Might want to ping that owner and see if he's willing to show you his car.

going to be tight. Seat choice will be important. probably an automatic to give you foot room. You can do it though!

I drove a 2015 50th Anniversary Stang this week, I was really impressed with the leg room compared to the 96 Cobra we have. It's just that I'm wanting to build something, not just modify something.

There is a tab on the FFR site about the build school and a link that will take you to the school web site.

I had a guy 6'8" tall sit in my 33 and he fit . Plenty of head room but legs were bent.

Thanks for the info on the school and about your 6'8" friend. I guess I'll continue to try and find someone's car that I can set and ride in, I was about to give up on this idea after reading some of these posts
