Hi all. Maybe an odd question but I'd like to know the measurement of how much the body comes down over the dashboard panel when both are mounted. I'm working on my dash layout and my body is in storage (I'm not sure how much getting to the body would help anyway without it being mounted). Also, since the arc of the dash panel is different than the arc of the frame, I'm assuming the overlap of the panel is different across the panel - if this is the case, a few measurements would be very appreciated...maybe one at center dash, one in the middle of the driver side half, and one in the middle of the passenger side half?

Can someone do me a big favor and provide this info?

THANKS!!
Shannon

The center of the dash hoop can be a little different on each car. Holding your dash panel against the hoop you want to see1/4 to 3/16 of the square tube showing above the dash at the outside ends of the hoop. If you make it even with the hoop on the ends of the tube it will interfere with the body setting all the way down. It really is best to set the body on, push the bottom lip of the body as far in as you can and put the #10 self tappers in (one in line with the front of the door opening and one in the rear about 2.5 in in front of the end of the 2in square frame tube. Now you can slide your dash up to get a fit. We trim the back of the rolled edge to allow for dash padding. We do the same with the rear cockpit rolled edge to allow for carpet. The body needs to be positioned so that the door opening edge is just in front of the door latch striker mount...da Bat
