Anybody come up with a mod to keep side windows from getting scratched up from opening and closing?
Thanks

I've been dreading this possibility myself.
My past experience with Lexan says it'll be a pain in the butt to fix, and just easier to replace. I think I will go to my local glass cutter and see what they can do. Since it's not curved then it should be pretty easy to do, and they might even be able to do automotive glass.

It will happen for sure. Just part of the deal with Lexan IMO. I already have some after only 1 month of limited use.

I took the window apart and added two flat washers on each side of the plexi to space the frame a bit. Window opens now without rubbing. It may close at speed, but I can deal with that.

I have been talking this over with A friend in the glass biz and he thinks we can cut them out of glass, drill the holes for the slide brackets and send them out and have them tempered. We have not discussed price yet but I may try it.

I just used a small piece of rubber channel on the leading edge of the sliding window, maybe an inch or so long. 18,000 miles and no window scratches.
