Has anyone had a problem with excessive (and clunking sound) in their Ididit steering column (see video)? I can grab ahold of the D-Joint at the bottom of the column and still get play in the steering wheel. Also, going down the road you can move the wheel 1/2" or so left or right with little or no response.

I called and spoke to Ididit and they place the problem on the universal adapter supplied by FFR. I don't fully understand why the adapter would allow play in the steering wheel if it is just a spacer?

Just wanted to be sure I explained my problem well enough to Ididit before I drop $115 on their adapter. Thanks in advance for your input.

Okay, I'm going to be honest by admitting that...I thought about just deleting the post and saving myself some embarrassment. After giving it some more thought, I removed the center horn button and examined what was actually happening (I missed it the first time around). We've all seen the disclosure on service shop invoices that reads "Re-torque all lug nuts after 100 miles".

Well, I guess the same goes for the screws on the steering wheel. Four of the six screws loosened up in the first 1,900 miles and was letting the steering wheel move around a bit. Re-torqued the screws and she is back to perfection.

At least I'm learning right???
