Just some basic drone footage from the show and some Ortega HWY at the end. Sit back and enjoy the groovy lounge music while we fly down Main St! Note, it was a bit windy with the rain coming in.

I used this little guy to do the work.

That IS SO COOL! What drone Model is that? Does it transmit live feed back to you?

Grant, that looks like a Blade QX, possibly the older 200 or first gen 350...
I have a QX350 AP coming for work use and can't wait to get it in the air. The AP model comes with a brushless gimble and HD camera so no need to attach your own GoPro...

That's the one I have. The 350QX2 AP combo. Yes I can control the camera though my phone and fly it but WiFi is limited on range. The camera that
Comes with is a bit better as it has an antennae included. The video is just not as good so I bought a go pro. It's awesome. Call me if you have questions. It's such a fun drone.

Eric, just to follow up, I got my 350QX3 AP with three-axis gimble on Tuesday. Only flown it once to get a feel of it, but hope to get more flight time this weekend and actually take some video/stills. From what I've read the version 3 has a better signal/antenna system, so I'll see how far out the video signal to my smart phone is. The phone holder bolts to the neck strap lug on the DX4 radio and seems a bit flimsy. Might look into reinforcing it somehow. Also might look into a shield for the phone to see better in bright daylight.
If all else fails I have a GoPro Hero 3 Black with Wi-Fi and all I have to do is get the mounting kit from the old 200QX/first gen 350QX to install it on mine.

That video gives a totally new view of the show. I can see that we should be able to get 10-12 more cars parked and still have plenty of room for spectators. Thanks for the video Eric.

The camera that comes yours it should have good range. Mine does because it has an external antennae (CGO1). I know your model has the external antennae for the quad itself but this won't help with the camera. The WiFi on the Gopro has very limited range of about 50Ft before it starts breaking up. It will only continue to get better over time as the tech develops. The quality is just so good on the Hero that it's worth not having a FPV for now.

Yeah, mine has the CGO2 cam, and they're about to launch the CGO3 with 4K resolution!
I wish I was in on the deal with the Yuneec steady Grip hand held (free with purchase of the 350QX3, but didn't get mine through retail channels). I'll have to try and find the steady grip on eBay or something. External antenna mast for the GPS on the new QX3, and there's an antenna built into the one of the landing gear. Assume that's for the camera. I was flying without the cam yesterday but with a fully charged battery plan to take another flight tonight and actually shoot some footage...

Very nice. Such great resolution, too. I think back to the 1991 La Carrera Panamericana that we drove and the Pink Floyd team that was there that year. They produced a nice documentary by the same name, but ancient VHS doesn't compare to the quality images you captured. Too bad we didn't have that technology back then!
Thanks,
Tom
