While looking for a the source of a noise from the rear end, I noticed the tail-end of the transmission (TKO 600) is not in line with the flange on the rear axle that attaches to the universal joint on the drive shaft. The up-down alignment (i.e., pinion angle) is fine, but the tail end of the transmission is off center about 3/4". I'm wondering how to fix this -- loosen the Coyote motor mount bolts and muscle the engine / transmission around so aligns with the rear end, or is there another way?

Probably needs a 3/4" spacer under the transmission mount - like mine did (also in Tucson, but with a 427w).

The engine and transmission are offset to the passenger side by approximately an inch by design. In other words it supposed to be that way so carry on :)

Do a search on "Pinion Angle" Almost every diagram you see shows the proper alignment from the side view. But this is a three dimensional structure. When you look at it from the top (or bottom), you should get nearly the same alignment.

Search for "TREMEC TOOL BOX." One of the tools is a driveline angle finder.

That is the way U-joints work the best.
