If so, do I just run the two thick power wires from the Russ Francis harness and discard the other two wires?

So much bling, I had a hard time seeing the alternator! Yes that is a single wire alternator, I just ran one of the large wire back to the solenoid junction. Not sure about your wiring harness.

Please do not pick on the 347 in the hot rod with a polished intake and carbs!

I thought something was looking shabby.

Interesting spark plug wire routing! That will keep it away from the headers for sure!
Looks awesome Dave! Great job and excellent thread.

As answered on this forum and the other, yes that's a 1-wire alternator, and just needs a single wire from the large post to the solenoid junction or wherever your main battery power is routed. If you strip back the convolute and insulation on the RF harness, you'll find those multiple wires are actually just a single wire and gives you what you need. Although some would agree the gauge of the wire is too small. I found it works OK though. The other open question for a 1-wire is the terminal block. That's the three terminals right in the center of the picture in the edge of the alternator. There's a special connector that plugs in there. The main purpose is an exciter for the regulator in the alternator, and also in some cases a low voltage light. I've used 1-wire's twice. For the first one, an exciter wire was necessary. Was just a 12V feed from the fuse box. For my second one, a Tuff Stuff aftermarket piece from Summit, it had a plug over these three terminals and the instructions specifically said not to plug anything there. Only the one main power wire was required. They said it had an upgraded regulator, charges at low RPM, and didn't need the exciter feed. It's in my Mk4 build, and so far works as advertised.
I agree with the other posts. Nice bling! I've been known to sprinkle a little bling around my builds as well. :)

I guess I hadn't noticed before but at those CATs on there? FFR Cats?

Yep, FFR cats, which I had ceramic coated. This is mostly for sound.
