View Full Version : Adhering Mesh/Trim to Body
Hey guys, I'm struggling a bit to get my Mesh & Trim to adhere to the body. I started w/ the side vents and rear mesh. I put a bead of silicon on it and then held it in place with tape and allen wrenches zip tied to provide pressure. A week later I removed the tape and wrenches and the mesh just slid off. Are you guys using anything different? FWIW I did not pre-bend the mesh/trim which I think may help a bit. Thanks,

did you clean and scuff the mesh beforehand? These pieces were very oily from the factory for me. I am, however, following the bolt in method described by Mike Everson here:

^Thanks for the reply. I did nut scuff the mesh as I had mine powder coated...maybe that's part of the problem. I think pre-bending it may help it bond. I'll try tackling it again.
