Hi, I tried searching but could not find the answer, maybe my terminology entered in the search engine is incorrect IDK, but if someone can answer my question or post up a link I'd appreciate it pictures would be great, thanks in advance:

I intend to build my car as close to the true concept of the original FFR ideology (i.e. the single donor concept)

1) I am having trouble installing the donor push rod from the 87 Mustang GT to the donor master cylinder. There is a picture in the manual of the push rod and mine looks exactly like the picture in the manual, there is a round "fixture" approx. 1" in diameter installed on the rod approx. 2" from the master cylinder end of the rod that appears to be getting in the way. Am I supposed to take that off?? Do I cut it off, press it off??

I am going with the manual brakes and I have already modified the brake pedal assembly and moved the pivot assemble as per the manual.

2) When I install the 87 Mustang GT steering rack and add the FFR extensions to the rack the inner and outer tie-rod ends up at the limits of their adjustability, I assume I can just remove the rack extensions but if someone could confirm that would be great.

I am going to post this question in the ask a FFR tech section as well but any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

1) That piece comes off the pushrod leaving a round ball end that goes into the master cylinder.
2) the rack extenders stay on and the inner tie rod end gets cut off to allow adjustment. Check your manual for the amount.

Hope this helps
Norm

Hi Norm, thank you so much for your help, you are correct about the piece comming off of the rod and the inners needing to be shortened, thanks!!!!!!
