Good morning,

Well, I have been researching the MK4 for a few years now, reading and asking questions, toured Whibny Motors spending the day asking questions and so on. My wife and I went on vacation March 7th and had a 7 hour layover, so we rented a car and went to tour Factory Five Racing. I would like to thank Dave the Webmaster for staying a little later and giving us a great tour.

When we got back from vacation I called Jeff at Whibny motorsports and placed my order on March 20th. I got an email from Jeff this morning saying that it will be delivered on April 15th. Wow, did I say WOW.

Oh ya, I live in Concord, NC. I can see the speedway from my house.

I went with the complete kit, 3 link and I am putting a Coyote in it. I would also like to thank King for hooking me up with the foot box mod.

More to come.

More to follow

Awesome! Congrats! You're going to love it.

How about dishing out a couple more details? Stainless or painted pipes? Do you know what color you're going to paint the car? Are you planning on any mods/upgrades (radio, heater, seats, whatever!)?

I'm looking at Carolina blue with white vintage strips
A/C, bare pipes for now painted white . I'll probably order the breeze quite pipes later.
Heated seats, powder coated roll bars until I have then ceramic coated silver.
I am planning on getting an old style radio.
I want to keep the classic look with technology advances out of sight.
I'm getting ready to take off so I'll post more later.
It's like tasting cheese.

Congrats Steven. Prepare for a new life. Maybe it's just me, but I got my first FFR 10 years ago, and have met a bunch of new friends. Funny thing is that now, all but two of my friends I met because of this car. Great thing is I have maybe 6 of those friends that I could call 24/7 and they would hop in their car/truck and do anything I needed help with. You are joining a great community.

Congrats! We are both waiting on the kits to arrive. Time seems to drag though.

stevenburgess (and NavyChief) - Congrats on on your orders and joining the community! I picked up my kit late last summer and started on it in the Fall, so am only a little bit ahead of you. Hopefully I'm learning things about the process so I can offer assistance when you guys hit the same questions/issues. And if not, there are a LOT of others here who are smarter and more experienced than me! :p

Tic Toc

It s getting closer, last week my wife called during her lunch break and asked what I was doing. I told her I was getting the room ready for guest. When she pulled into the garage and got to the door she was like WTF? THe door was blue, then she noticed I had painted the garage. She said, I thought you were getting the guest room ready for family that is coming? I was like, No I was getting the garage ready for the Cobra. Lol

Wait til she gets home tomorrow, I putting the 42 inch TV that was in the guest room in the garage and the 32 inch in the guest room.
I got to be able to watch build videos and TV while I am building my MK4. Would you not agree...

That is a good plan! Shame there's not more videos though.

I picked up my MK4 last night. It's home in the garage. But now I'm off on a business trip.
More to come in a few days.
