I spent all day Friday at the Mitty ... very few Factory Five types present. I was the only one until TimC showed up, plus another blue roadster. Got to meet Snakebite Bill, as well. Bill Peirce and family were there in the afternoon, with the Ford GT, Bill's new Ferrari F430 and his father-in-law with his Maserati Spyder. I took the liberty of parking next to their row of exotics. Made for a nice photo-op. I also attended the races on Sunday and got to do 5 laps during the "touring lap" session. Fun times, perfect weather, sunburn! Coupe ran great during the touring laps and the new Kumho tires are great! After the touring laps, I parked the coupe several spaces down from the Backdraft display. They had three of their roadsters there, one with a Coyote motor. Their guys totally ignored my coupe, even walking right past it to the trash can without ever looking at it or speaking to me ... just jealous, I guess!

Here are a few pics, as well as a short video taken on the back straight:

Hey Garry,

I was there Saturday and Sunday to talk with tech folks about our 1979 Mustang and 1961 Mini we are preparing for vintage racing.

Looked all over for FFR folks, but none were to be found.

Did find the SuperPerformance and BackDraft folks.

Also found the Cobra Automotive folks:

Was hoping to meet you and talk about finding a home for my Coupe collection of parts.

Rob

Rob,

I was there Sunday from 10:30 until about 4:00 pm. After touring laps at noon, I parked near the Backdraft display. Of course, they totally ignored me and the coupe ...

Sorry I missed you!

Great pics of the black 98 stallion, my nick name for your coupe. I love the other cars, boy do I miss all that fun, Deb

"Jealous" is right! They knew they were out of your league. Your coupe is awesome Garry!

In the first photo of your post #2 they got the pecking order right.
Coupe to the head of the class... double entendre intended!
Beautiful car and like a black panther the beauty belies the power under the skin.

Trout,

I named the coupe "Elvira" after Mistress of the Dark, if you remember that TV show. Lots of sensual curves on display, hinting at hidden delights! I do like the black panther description, as well.
