I'mconfused on how the emergency brake system works, I am using the thunderbird IRS rear and the emergency brake cables enter through the top of the caliper to the fixed bracket on the bottom of the caliper. When I pull on the e-brake handle the cable is pulling on the fixed part of the caliper? It looks like it should enter through the bottom of the caliper and pull on the lever but that set up would encounter the wheel with the cable. Is my thinking wrong or am I missing something?

It should pull the lever.

The only way that could be done would be to run the cable system through the bottom of the caliper, but that would have the cablehousing exiting the bottom and rub againt the tires?

I know they come close. You should be able to make a tight radius right after it leaves the caliper. Some people secure it to the lower control arm.

Does anybody have any pictures of the rear brake with the e-brake attached? Should I be looking for any aftermarkit brakes to make things simple?
